Abandonment

Ok so i have completely abandoned my blog for the last 6mths!

i guess its been for a few reasons... one is I have had very little time between a busy work schedule, a puppy who commands and absorbs most of my free time (willingly and lovingly mind you!) and the fact that I have been in a bit of a slump of late...

Though its all changing right before my eyes... well that last part at least!

The slump I've found myself emerging from meant that I found little that inspired me enough to blog about, and when I did, I just didn't seem able to find time! That's not to say there was nothing rad and wonderful being produced out there by peeps, I just wasn't looking for it!

Going from a place where I just didn't want to do anything or be anything, to a new perspective of looking forward with a fresh burst of energy, a renewed vigour for life and a good cleanse of my temple has been a breathe of fresh air!

Its amazing to me how deeply I can bury myself in insubstantial, unmeaningful and unhealthy habits that completely remove me from the playing field of my life... I got sick of watching an empty pitch, and finally realised there was no one holding me in the grandstands... so I got up off my ass and headed out to play again!

I have a lot to do to fully get myself back on track, so while I'm not promising to blog everyday, I am going to make an effort to adding something to this 'ere lil ol' visual diary more often!

So here a a few of the images I had buried deep in the bowels of my hard drive just waiting for a day that I had some time to share...

Beats International featuring Lindy Layton 1990 smash hit that spent 13 weeks in the charts... and one of my all time favourite songs!
By golly gosh though, wasn't easy finding this clip.
SOS originally did this track, recently slaughtered by Karmah and has been remixed that many times it is not funny! This particular track though is my favourite, and in my humble opinion, the best arrangement, interpretation and production of and oldie but definately a goodie!
Check out Lindy's dancing... soooooooooo 90's just like the leggings and sneakers, with the oversized button down shirt and wayyyyyyy too much bling! it's hard to comprehend that the 90's could actually come back into style in the next few years considering how bad it was!!! haha I'm sure someone will throw a spin on the 90's stylings and rep it radically! One thing is for sure though.... that ain't gunna be me!

Okay so I have been looking for outfits for Falls fest and my roadtrip down the east coast this summer... came across this pic and almost imploded on the spot!
I LOVE these overalls... OMG I want them so much I would be willing to do just about anything short of naked cartwheels downt he street to get something close to this... believe me it wouldn't be pretty, and besides, I can't do cartwheels!
However I figure if I plead and pray long enough the universe may just open up and show me where I can find something along these lines...
Now I just have to get my shit together and make sure that I drop a few kilos in the meantime so that I won't end up slashing my wrists after finding said penultimate outfit and looking like an oompa loompa in it!!! weeeeeeee

Burleigh Bliss

Buddy's, the beach, a ping pong table, beers, a cool breeze, clear blue skies and sun... are you sure its winter??????
The weather sure fooled me today! I could have stripped off and slipped into the cool salty water had I only bought some swimmers... geezuz I'm gunna have to shed this winter coat sooner than I thought!!! Last year I was in the surf in mid September... this year it looks like I'll be floating around in the sea before Spring arrives!!! yipeeeeeee
Hello workouts... goodbye winter, I'm off to find me some cute bikinis, re-gas my car's air-con and stock up on sunscreen!!!

This is what sunday's are all about... golden rays, great friends and goodtimes!!!
